Laboratory Testing forms an important part of our aim to provide all-encompassing services to our valued business partners and is a key aspect of our promise towards Transparency. We get our batches regularly tested from third-party NABL (National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories) and FSSAI (Food Safety and Standards Authority of India) accredited laboratories. For certain rare products like Gallstones, the laboratory testing is done on special request by the customer.
The External Laboratory testing is a part of our SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), something unique to a B2B company. We are proud of it and you will find us bringing it up often!
Our main reason for going in for third-party (external) laboratories is to get our quality verified from a non-biased source. It is observed that there is a stark difference between the laboratory results and actual product – especially in case of internal laboratories. To do away with such differences/practices, we have strictly adopted external testing and rely fully on the third-party results.
While importing Saffron from Iran and Afghanistan, it is a common practice for the sellers to share Saffron Certificate of Analysis with Crocin value going as high as 250+, which on actual testing falls in the range of 150-170, Grade II Saffron. At times, the report is according to the Iran/Afghanistan Standards, not the ISO 3632 standards. These lead to inaccuracies and the customer is cheated.
